Shamanism is an earth-based form of healing that effects the physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual bodies. It is multi-dimensional and reflects the teachings of the mineral, plant, animal, human and spirit worlds. It is done through ritual and ceremony.
Traditional, indigenous shamans use ceremony and ritualistic practices to travel multi-dimensionally to heal individuals.
Teresa Jayne, however, is a non-traditional shamanic healer, using ritual, ceremony, and ancient wisdom teachings as well as spiritual guidance to hold a safe and sacred space for individuals to heal themselves. She gained this knowledge through a 7 year apprenticeship with non-traditional shamans and her deeply intuitive sensitivity. She does ongoing training with her highly eclectic teachers, Raine Weber and Joy Messick. She attributes much of her abilities to the healing of her own traumatic childhood through shamanic practices as well as assisting others in their healing.
She believes that Americans tend to respond better and with more lasting effects, and are more empowered through the non-traditional shamanism.
